‘Staatliche Museen zu Berlin’ was founded in 1957 with the goal of preserving and augmenting the cultural heritage of the former member state Prussia. A few years ago, SMB choose to implement a specialized operator for all museum shops with the aim of making these shops more profitable.
Development of collections
This operator wanted to have beautiful product lines developed that would sell. That is why they contacted Bekking & Blitz. For some years now, together with SMB, we have developed unique and striking product lines for every museum shop.
An expansive assortment
A divergent series of products are sold at the museum shop of the Pergamon Museum. Including notebooks, wrapping paper and writing pads that were all designed by Bekking & Blitz. For the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Gemäldegalerie, we develop other kinds of products such as umbrellas, serving trays and a range of bamboo products. We create unique products for every museum that are inspired by their own collections.
