Becoming green during lockdown
During Covid-19, we all spent a lot of time in our homes. Sitting at home, working, or studying gave us all a collective green impulse. Garden centers reached record sales, houseplants were hard to come by and allotment associations received an enormous number of new registrations. It is a trend that we as Hortus can of course only encourage. The more people surround themselves with plants or get infected with the gardening virus, the better.
The theme of the year
In 2021 the Hortus will therefore be dominated by Home Plants; a themed year about all the plants you find in and around your home. Whether it's in the living room, the bathroom, on the balcony, in the garden, or allotment, we take a close look at them all.
The Hortus has developed a unique Hortus Home Plants line, especially for the theme year. The line is made with fantastic illustrations by Kelly van Koppenhagen.
