**ABOUT THE ARTISTS ROMAN AND HENRIETTE REISINGER:**
The still lifes by Roman and Henriëtte Reisinger are authentic and often exude an atmosphere of a distant past. Henriëtte composes the still life, Roman paints. Discover this contemporary master of the still life.
Roman Reisinger (Amsterdam, 14-12-1970) began his painting career in the French countryside in 2003. He stayed in the pleasant South French region of Lot-et-Garonne and was able to develop quietly in the various facets of the painting craft. He partly inherited his painting talent from his talented father, Hans Reisinger. From him, he learned the technique of the Dutch Masters, where light plays such an important role.
After a few years, he returned to the Netherlands and together with his wife, also his creative partner responsible for concepts and compositions, Henriëtte Reisinger (Utrecht 02-12-1970), opened an art gallery combined with a studio in the village center of Gorssel (Gelderland).
Meanwhile, Roman has spent many hours behind his easel. To achieve a certain production, he paints daily, whole days. This naturally requires enormous dedication, concentration, and vitality. Flower still lifes have now become a specialization of the couple. After all, every flower has its own interesting character. Color, shape, size, structure are all things taken into account when composing. It is a quest for balance, harmony but also tension to ultimately give a composition attraction and perhaps even timelessness.
